Abstract
CineWorlding is a name for a cinematic ethnographic polydisciplinamorous practice that is not easily captured by any single discipline. CineWorlding challenges the way we think about an ethnographer, now a technological cyborgdifficult to disentangle from its cinematic process-thinking. Beginning with an awareness that popular music ethnography must move beyond fixed anthropological categories this chapter investigates the relationship between popular polymusicamory and audiovision. Thinking through cinematic process as research-creation, this chapter recognizes that what popular music cine-ethnography might become is currently unknown, and urges popular music cine-ethnographers not to limited cinematic forms or cine-ethnographic questions in advance.
