Abstract
งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการใช้กลไกเคลื่อนตัวของคลื่นแรงเฉือนในการตรวจวัดความไม่สม่ำเสมอของตัวอย่างดิน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในบริเวณที่เกิด Localization ในการทดสอบโดยเครื่องมือแบบแรงอัดสามแกน (Triaxial) ในการทดสอบขั้นต้นจะใช้เครื่องมือทดสอบที่พัฒนาขึ้นเอง โดยสามารถสร้างตัวอย่างดินที่มีความหนาแน่นไม่สม่ำเสมอ ที่มีความหนาแน่นที่กำหนดได้ โดยติดตั้งแผ่น Bender element ไว้ที่ฐานและด้านบนของอุปกรณ์ ตัวอย่างดินทรายที่ใช้ในการทดสอบจะมีชั้นทรายที่มีความหนาแน่นแตกต่างจากส่วนอื่นๆของตัวอย่างดินแทรกอยู่ระหว่างกลางของตัวอย่างทดสอบ โดยที่ชั้นแทรกจะมีความหนา 1 เซนติเมตร และ 2 เซนติเมตร แล้วแต่กรณี ในการทดสอบในเครื่องทดสอบแบบสามแกนจะใช้ตัวอย่างดินทรายที่มีขนาดคละแคบ (Uniform sand) โดยใช้ดินทราย 3 ประเภทคือ ทรายหยาบ (D50 = 1.180 mm.) ทรายละเอียด (D50 = 0.425 mm.) และทรายเม็ดกลม (Ottawa sand) ในการทดสอบทั้ง 2 แบบจะทำการตรวจวัดความเร็วคลื่นเฉือน ตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นจนกระทั่งสิ้นสุดการทดสอบ โดยสังเกตการเปลี่ยนแปลงของความเร็วคลื่นแรงเฉือน ที่เวลาต่างๆกัน จากผลการทดสอบพบว่าค่าความแตกต่างของความเร็วคลื่นแรงเฉือนที่ได้จากการตรวจวัดและจากการคำนวณในอุปกรณ์ทดสอบความไม่สม่ำเสมอของดิน ให้ผลของค่าความเร็วคลื่นแรงเฉือนที่ใกล้เคียงกัน โดยค่าความแตกต่างอยู่ระหว่าง 0.84 % – 6.49 % จากผลที่ได้พบว่าค่าที่ได้จากการคำนวณให้ค่าที่ใกล้เคียงกับผลที่ตรวจวัดได้จากตัวอย่างจริง ในส่วนของการทดสอบในเครื่องมือทดสอบแรงอัดสามแกนพบว่าค่าความเร็วคลื่นแรงเฉือนในบริเวณที่เกิด Localization มีค่าที่ลดลงอยู่ระหว่าง40% - 66% เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับค่าความเร็วคลื่นแรงเฉือนในบริเวณที่ไม่เกิด Localization ซึ่งแนวโน้มของการลดลงของค่าความเร็วคลื่นแรงเฉือนในบริเวณที่เกิด Localization ในทรายที่มีเม็ดละเอียดให้ค่าความเร็วที่ลดลงมากว่าทรายที่มีเม็ดหยาบกว่า
