Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A polarization-maintaining ytterbium-doped fiber was fabricated from an aluminophosphosilicate glass preform, with core and cladding diameters of 40μm and 250μm, respectively. Suppression of higher-order modes is made possible due to the confined ytterbium doping and the multi-clad design with depressed index inner layer. The fiber is used in a chirped-pulse amplification system delivering as much as 40W average output power at 1030nm. The power amplifier yields a signal gain exceeding 40dB while the ASE was measured to be lower than 1%. Despite some spectral narrowing taking place in the amplifier, the pulse width was measured <450fs after pulse compression was performed. Meanwhile the fiber amplifier is seen to show near diffraction-limited output with a beam quality factor M2<1.3.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
