Abstract
AMC packaged Multi-layer overlapped sub-array has been investigated for mmWave application for the first time. The design of the array has been based on the roots of transfer functions of sub-arrays. The structures are implemented in multiple layers to realize complex sub-array overlapping with a smaller number of crossovers. Besides, the AMC packaging is utilized to suppress the spurious radiation from microstrip lines at mm frequency. The Full-wave results are acceptably compatible with design computations.
