A low-cost 3D-printed reflectarray is proposed in this paper. The reflectarray (16 × 32 unit cells) consists of a layer of patches and a 3D-printed layer covered by copper tape that functions as a ground plane backing. In this study, the structure that serves as a reflectarray for 5G millimeter-wave frequencies is designed using a low-cost fabrication technique. A wideband operation of 20 GHz to 42 GHz can be observed based on the reflection phase and return loss. Prototypes are fabricated and provide a good agreement between the simulated and measured radiation patterns.
