Abstract
Based on a piece from contemporary Quebec theater – I Think of Yu by Carole Fréchette – this article offers an analysis of some aspects of memorial writing from the perspective of the concept of transitive literature, as well as the way in which the writer succeeds in inserting and relating in her text factual elements and fictional elements, real life paths and imagined life paths.
