Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est de proposer une reconstruction de la pensée de Maître Eckhart en ce qui concerne la vertu théologale de foi, à la fois prise en elle-même et en rapport, notamment, avec la vertu intellectuelle de science. De fait, en sa qualité de Maître en théologie à l’Université de Paris au tournant des xiiie et xive siècles, Eckhart est susceptible d’avoir été averti à la fois des débats sur les rapports entre ces deux actes mentaux, et de la conceptualité développée par ses confrères pour penser ces rapports. Il s’agit donc ici de proposer une interprétation de la manière dont la pensée eckhartienne entre en dialogue avec celle de son contemporain Thomas d’Aquin, dont la doctrine est déjà incontournable au sein de l’ordre dominicain à cette époque.
