Abstract
Este artigo tem como objeto discutir a realidade dos tempos de trabalho no Brasil e a sua relação com o adoecimento mental da classe trabalhadora, levando em consideração o ideário neoliberal que dita a racionalidade das alterações sobre jornada de trabalho trazidas pela Lei nº 13.467/2017. Por meio da revisão bibliográfica, partimos da discussão teórica em torno do neoliberalismo (DARDOT; LAVAL, 2016; BROWN, 2019), liberdade e saúde mental (SAFATLE, 2023) para compreender a desconfiguração da jornada de trabalho, por meio da ampliação e flexibilização da jornada, e os seus impactos na saúde dos trabalhadores e trabalhadoras. Os estudos sobre trabalho e tempo (ARRIAGADA, 2005; DAMIAN, 2003; DIEESE, 2006; SOARES, 2021) denunciam que o adoecimento mental também é um produto da sobrecarga de trabalho, da falta de tempo para lazer e descanso, da pobreza de tempo para viver. O artigo se divide em três principais partes, após a introdução, a primeira discute como o neoliberalismo reconfigura as relações sociais, a saúde e os modos de organização do trabalho. A segunda apresenta o cenário de (des)regulamentação das jornadas de trabalho no Brasil. Em seguida, problematiza os impactos na saúde mental dos trabalhadores(as). Por fim, concluímos pela necessidade de denunciar a falsa liberdade jurídica-econômica propagada pelo neoliberalismo e de resgatar a bandeira histórica da redução das jornadas de trabalho da classe trabalhadora.
