Abstract
Omniprésent dans la formation de l’acteur, le travail du corps prend plusieurs formes et suscite différents types d’expériences pour les étudiants. Cet article permet une meilleure compréhension des expériences d’apprentissage du mime decrousien auprès de la spécialiste Francine Alepin, qui enseigne depuis plus de 30 ans à l’École supérieure de théâtre de l’université du Québec à Montréal. Sous forme d’une étude de cas, cette recherche qualitative interprétative s’appuie sur l’observation participante, l’entrevue individuelle et le groupe de discussion. À la lumière de la théorie de l’activité, elle approfondit les expériences conduisant à se familiariser avec la technique decrousienne de manière à développer une conscience et une maîtrise de son corps en tant qu’instrument, ainsi qu’une aisance corporelle et psychologique favorisant l’élargissement du registre expressif de l’acteur en formation.
