Abstract
Le Canada, les États-Unis et la France ont un double point commun : marqués par l’histoire coloniale ou la colonisation de peuplement, ces pays ont accueilli des réfugiés en provenance du Vietnam, du Cambodge et du Laos à partir de la deuxième moitié des années 1970. L’étude critique des récits produits autour de cet accueil révèle des biais discursifs concernant la place assignée aux réfugiés dans l’écriture de l’histoire nationale. Ces récits renseignent davantage sur les mobiles des acteurs et des institutions qui les formulent que sur le difficile parcours des premiers concernés.
