Desa Alasangker mempunyai potensi yang besar dalam pengembangan pertanian, baik di areal lahan maupun pada areal pekarangan. Berdasarkan potensi tersebut, pemerintah desa berkeinginan untuk memanfaatkan lahan tersebut melalui program P2L untuk ketahanan pangan dengan ujung tombak kegiatan adalah Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Sari Rejeki. Pemerintah desa, selanjutnya melalui kerjasama dengan Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Perikanan Kabupaten Buleleng dan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Panji Sakti melaksanakan penyuluhan dan pelatihan kepada KWT Sari Rejeki. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam melakukan budidaya tanaman di lahan pekarangan sebagai sumber ketahanan pangan keluarga. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan disimpulkan bahwa anggota KWT secara umum telah memahami teknis budidaya tanaman di pekarangan, namun masih perlu peningkatan pengetahuan terkait pengendalian serangan hama dan penyakit serta pemanfaatan irigasi yang efektif. Sehingga melalui kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang dilakukan ketarampilan anggotan kelompok telah semakin meningkat dan selanjutnya perlu dilakukan monitoring dan evaluasi.
