« Wages for ». Une approche féministe du salaire comme puissance subversive

Abstract
En revendiquant un salaire pour les stagiaires, les étudiants québécois en grève en 2018 réactualisaient, comme d’autres mouvements sociaux contemporains, une histoire revendicative plus large de « wages for » héritée des luttes féministes des années 1970. Maud Simonet montre l’importance de la réactivation de ces mots d’ordre qui, à l’instar des féministes qui revendiquaient un salaire pour le travail domestique, visent la valorisation d’une sphère du travail non valorisée et invisible. Selon elle, non seulement cette revendication a le mérite de visibiliser ce travail invisible mais elle a surtout l’intérêt de placer ces conflits au cœur d’un rapport social plus fondamental qu’est le salariat.
