Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This study sought to determine the number of patients presenting to our centre with acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) territory and to analyse the proportion that met the Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) criteria for intravenous (IV) thrombolysis or mechanical thrombectomy. It further investigated the common risk factors and presenting symptoms in the study population. The study included 356 participants, most of whom (82%) had at least one known risk factor, with the most prevalent being hypertension (64%). Patients most frequently presented with symptoms of limb numbness/weakness (76%), face numbness/weakness (60%) and dysphasia/aphasia (53%). Most of the population had an ASPECTS ≥8 (80.62%). The presence of a hyperdense MCA sign was significantly associated with an ASPECTS of 0-4 ( P = .03), whilst absence of this was significantly associated with an ASPECTS ≥8 ( P = .015). Most patients (92.13%) presented >6 hours after the onset of symptoms.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
