Abstract De.flu.vi.i.to'ga L. neut. n. defluvium , sewage, wastewater; L. fem. n. toga , a toga; N.L. fem. n. Defluviitoga , a toga isolated from wastewater. The genus Defluviitoga is currently composed of one described species, D. tunisiensis . It is a member of the phylum Thermotogota , class Thermotogae , order Petrotogales , family Petrotogaceae . Defluviitoga are thermophilic, anaerobic chemoorganotrophs. Yeast extract is required for growth by fermentation on a broad range of sugars. Thiosulfate and sulfur are reduced to hydrogen sulfide and stimulate growth. Cells are Gram‐stain‐negative short rods with a sheath‐like outer structure. The cells occur singly, in pairs, or in chains. The genus has been found in human‐made anaerobic digesters, including biogas production plants. DNA G + C content (mol%) : 31.4 (genome analysis) and 33.6 (HPLC). Type species : Defluviitoga tunisiensis Ben Hania et al. 2012 VP . Taxonomic and Nomenclature Notes According to the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN), the taxonomic status of the genus Defluviitoga is: correct name (last update, February 2025) * . LPSN classification: Bacteria / Thermotogati / Thermotogota / Thermotogae / Petrotogales / Petrotogaceae / Defluviitoga The genus Defluviitoga can also be recovered in the Genome Taxonomy Database (GTDB) as g__Defluviitoga (version v220) ** . GTDB classification: d__Bacteria / p__Thermotogota / c__Thermotogae / o__Petrotogales / f__Petrotogaceae / g__Defluviitoga * Meier‐Kolthoff et al. ( 2022 ). Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
