El concepto de «trabajo sostenible» carece aún de una definición precisa. Sus diversas dimensiones se han abordado hasta ahora en el marco de estudios aislados, sin prestar suficiente atención a las consecuencias políticas de la demanda de «trabajo sostenible». Esta sección monográfica pone de manifiesto la necesidad de adoptar un enfoque integrado para analizar los conflictos políticos que plantea el concepto, sus diferentes dimensiones y su potencial. En esta introducción se examina cómo las contribuciones aquí recogidas aclaran estas dimensiones y su carácter político.
