A Comparative Analysis of the Chinese and the US Stock–Bond Risk Contagion and its Interaction Mechanism
Bibliographic record
Abstract
The paper examines the dependence and risk spillover effects between the stock and bond markets over the period from 2005 to 2019 in a China–US comparative setting. We focus on the two markets’ interaction mechanisms, thus facilitating risk resistance policies and providing asset allocation guidance. We employ the Copula-DCC-GARCH and MVMQ-CAViaR models to study the contagion of volatility and tail risks. Our results show that the US market can absorb external information shocks faster than the Chinese market, and the dependency is more affected by investor behavior. The tail risk spillover effect is significant in bull and fluctuating periods, but not in bear market periods. The impact of stock market shocks on the bond market is smaller than the impact of bond market shocks on the stock market.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
