Análisis bibliométrico de trabajos especiales de grado de periodoncia de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Los Andes

Abstract
La Periodoncia, es una rama importante de la odontología que tiene mucha relevancia en las áreas de docencia e investigación, en esta última sus publicaciones finales pueden ser estudiadas desde el punto de vista bibliométrico para medir sus características de publicación. El objetivo fue identificar el comportamiento de indicadores bibliométricos de los trabajos especiales de grado de grado (TEG) de Periodoncia de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Los Andes (FOULA) 2017-2019. Para esta investigación de diseño documental, el material de análisis de estudio estuvo conformado por la totalidad de los TEG relacionados con el área de Periodoncia entre 2009 y 2019.Se encontró que de los 447 TEG el 14.77% pertenecieron al área de periodoncia, prevalecieron el tipo de investigación descriptiva (53.85%), los diseños experimental y transversal, el enfoque cuantitativo (39.45%) y el autor más usado fue Hernández et al. y el aparato critico fue Vancouver. Tuvo un promedio de antecedentes de 15.47 por cada TEG y de referencias de 61.48 por cada TEG. La técnica de recolección de datos fue la observación y la técnica de análisis de datos fue la estadística descriptiva con la inferencial (46.97%), siendo la prueba chi cuadrado y T de Student (16.13%) las más usadas en la inferencial; el software más utilizado fue SPSS (48.48%). Se concluye que existió una importante cantidad de errores metodológicos en los trabajos, se debe establecer una mejor comunicación entre los tutores, jurados y profesores del Departamento de Investigación de la FOULA.
