Abstract
Depuis le début des années 2000, l’immigration française vers le Québec, surtout à Montréal, connaît une forte augmentation. Dans cet article, nous présentons une facette de la « nouvelle vague » d’immigration française à Montréal, soit l’ouverture de nouveaux commerces à destination des ressortissant·es français·es. À travers des entreprises comme Snatch (restaurant de tacos français), Top Discount (épicerie spécialisée en produits français), Double Menton et Saucisson (bistro français), nous explorons leurs répercussions économiques et socioculturelles sur la vie montréalaise. Cette facette de l’immigration française au Québec illustre comment ces mobilités transforment les paysages urbains et culturels tout en reflétant des aspirations à une qualité de vie différente. En parallèle, cette dynamique pose également des questions sur l’évolution de Montréal comme foyer de l’immigration française, particulièrement le Plateau Mont-Royal.
