Abstract
L’article observe la diffusion de la création mémétique dans le contexte des musées, à travers l’étude croisée de plusieurs institutions patrimoniales françaises et canadiennes. Elle montre comment les mèmes participent désormais des stratégies de communication et de médiation des collections, en relevant un tournant humoristique dans la médiation patrimoniale qui semble indiquer un assouplissement de la frontière entre visiteurs et visiteuses et internautes. L’ouverture des institutions à la mémification des œuvres devient aujourd’hui un outil d’activation numérique des collections et par là un instrument de diffusion pédagogique et d’innovation dans les pratiques de médiation patrimoniale.
