Abstract
Le présent article analyse la contribution de l’histoire psychosexuelle et des croyances culturelles dans le vécu anxieux au cours de la gravidité chez six femmes camerounaises confrontées à des complications périnatales. Ce travail s’inscrit dans le champ de la psychologie clinique culturelle. Outre les entretiens cliniques, il y a eu recours à un outil d’évaluation de la symptomatologie anxieuse : l’échelle hospitalière d’anxiété et de dépression (ÉHAD). Les résultats soulignent chez les six sujets, la présence d’un vécu anxieux significatif. Ce vécu anxieux, compte tenu des significations idiosyncrasiques et culturelles qui y convergent, récapitule les problématiques anxieuses passées en lien avec les croyances culturelles sur la grossesse et l’accouchement.
