Resultados preliminares de la Terapia dirigida al miedo a la recurrencia adaptada culturalmente para sobrevivientes mexicanas (FORT-Mx) con cáncer de mama

Abstract
Introducción: FORT es una intervención grupal manualizada y estandarizada, que utiliza componentes cognitivos, así como elementos de las terapias existenciales. En México, se implementó un proceso interactivo y exhaustivo de adaptación cultural al español; sin embargo, falta explorar sus efectos directamente en las supervivientes con cáncer de mama (FORT-Mx) para comenzar a generar evidencia hacia su implementación. Objetivo: evaluar los resultados preliminares de la terapia FORT-Mx en formato en híbrido sobre ansiedad, depresión, miedo la recurrencia del cáncer (MRC) y calidad de vida en supervivientes de cáncer de mama mexicanas. Método: se invitó a las mujeres con cáncer de mama, mayores de 18 años, que hubieran terminado su primera línea de tratamiento. Se realizaron 3 grupos de intervención FORT- MX (de 5-8 pacientes). Incluyéndose un total de 14 participantes. La modalidad del grupo fue híbrida: 5 sesiones de manera remota, y 1 sesión presencial. El procedimiento de la terapia siguió la estructura proporcionada por los manuales culturalmente adaptados del terapeuta y paciente. Resultados: el MRC, ansiedad y depresión disminuyeron significativamente después de la intervención. En ansiedad se notó mayor efecto: más sobrevivientes lograron un cambio clínico significativo. No se encontraron diferencias signficativas en calidad de vida. Conclusiones: este estudio piloto muestra resultados positivos del efecto de FORT-Mx en español, después de un proceso exhaustivo para adaptarla culturalmente a sobrevivientes de cáncer de mama mexicanas.
