Abstract
.We consider a class of hyperbolic systems that can be interpreted as approximations of the relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell system. These equations are derived by taking into account radiation-reaction effects occurring at a microscopic level. They involve a small length ℓ∈R+∗, called the Bopp-Podolsky parameter. In this context, we address common issues in kinetic equations, such as the propagation of moments, regularity properties, and well-posedness. We also investigate semiclassical limits appearing when ℓ goes to zero.
