Abstract
La destruction imminente de la planète est un problème qui sidère et provoque un sentiment d’impuissance pour une grande partie de la population. Or la sidération mine les forces vitales et la motivation d’agir. Dans quelle mesure le théâtre peut-il être utile en contexte de crise socioécologique? En quoi le deuil écologique peut-il servir de matière première à la création scénique et dramatique afin de mobiliser l’action individuelle ou collective? Mon hypothèse est que le théâtre peut être utile pour développer l’empathie cognitive et émotive du vivant, nourrir le sentiment d’appartenance à la collectivité ainsi qu’esquisser de nouveaux récits de transitions. Inspirée par le modèle que propose le théâtre écologique, je développerai d’abord sur l’intérêt du théâtre en contexte de crise socioécologique, puis je définirai le deuil écologique. Finalement, je tenterai de décrire en quoi le deuil écologique a été intégré à même le processus de création et à la partition dramatique et scénique de Ruines, que j’ai créée.
