Abstract
Récemment, nous assistons de plus en plus à l’émergence des œuvres littéraires francophones par les écrivains nigérians dans la critique littéraire africaine. Tout comme le roman, le théâtre nigérian d’expression française fait la critique de la situation sociopolitique de l’Afrique postcoloniale. Les écrivains nigérians francophones ne voulant pas rester indifférents des problèmes qui gangrènent leurs sociétés, décident de se servir de leurs pièces de théâtre pour dénoncer les problèmes sociopolitiques de l’Afrique postcoloniale. Cette étude entend donc examiner les thèmes relatifs à la situation sociopolitique de l’Afrique postcoloniale à travers Chaque chose en son temps (2001) de Lynn Mbuko et La calebasse cassée (2002) de Tunde Fatunde. Ils font usage des proverbes comme réalités que les cultures françaises et nigérianes ont consacré comme vérités pérennes, et Fatunde mettant ces proverbes dans les réparties des femmes leur reconnaît culture et sagesse, tandis que Mbuko prône pour l’avantage généralisé de donner une éducation moderne aux femmes.
