Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This paper presents a novel cooperative framework enabled by eclipsed satellites (E-satellites) equipped with Integrated Solar-Communication and Tracking Panel (IsCatP) systems. The IsCatP systems function as an energy-harvesting, wavelength-based reflector, and orientation tracker. E-satellites are strategically positioned along optimal orbital paths to enable efficient multi-hop satellite communications. In return, E-Satellites receive power via wireless energy transfer from nearby satellites. This cooperative framework reduces latency and power consumption in satellite communications, enhances the link alignment, and ensures the continued operation of satellites during eclipse periods. We detail the network topology of the proposed framework, highlighting key IsCatP challenges, such as crosstalk and misalignment issues. A misalignment model tailored to IsCatP's optical architecture is developed, alongside a model for communication links, and an Orientation Estimation and Compensation Tracking algorithm. Communication and tracking performance is evaluated analytically, in terms of channel capacity and outage probability. Simulation results using OpticStudio and MATLAB validate the system's performance. The proposed framework offers a promising business model for satellite operators, allowing them to unlock new revenue streams by leveraging existing satellite infrastructure.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
