Abstract
Énoncé des implications de la recherche Malgré les bienfaits des soins palliatifs, des mythes perdurent à leur sujet et nuisent à leur déploiement. C’est pourquoi l’idée d’innover dans la méthode de transmission des savoirs a émergé avec ce projet qui propose d’améliorer la compréhension des soins palliatifs grâce à l’art théâtral. Cet article décrit le processus de cocréation d’une pièce et sa diffusion dans un cours en médecine et en sciences infirmières. Pour évaluer les retombées de l’intervention sur le niveau d’intérêt et de connaissances des soins palliatifs, nous avons utilisé un questionnaire pré- et post- représentation, dont le résultat suggère une amélioration de ces deux éléments. Les commentaires reçus après l’activité laissent entendre que la démarche fût enrichissante autant pour les enseignants que les apprenants. Plusieurs diffusions de la pièce sont prévues, pour lesquelles des résidents du programme de soins palliatifs seront impliqués.
