Abstract
Comment la mode se dynamise-t-elle dans un rapport entre la création artistique, les arts, l’artisanat et la culture populaire ? La mode a d’abord circulé depuis les hautes sphères sociales jusqu’à ce que le pouvoir de la rue inverse sa trajectoire. Empreinte de traditions malgré son association à la nouveauté, elle a recours à des techniques ancestrales et renoue périodiquement avec quelques silhouettes du passé. Certains créateurs et créatrices de mode réservent une place de choix à l’artisanat, surtout celui qui procure du spectaculaire et qui ajoute de la qualité au produit désiré. En cela, la mode proposée, commercialisée et portée intègre inévitablement des éléments du passé, constamment réinventé. Cette dynamique cyclique traverse le temps et l’espace pour aboutir à des agencements où le métissage devient l’approche à adopter.
