Introducción: El modelo económico actual que originalmente busca maximizar la productividad para mejorar los estándares de vida, inevitablemente ha contribuido al desequilibrio entre la vida laboral y familiar. Objetivo: Realizar una revisión de la literatura sobre la jornada laboral y su relación con el estrés y conflicto trabajo-familia en trabajadores de Latinoamérica. Metodología: Se consultaron cinco bases de datos Dialnet, Redalyc, Pudmed, ScienceDirect y Scielo para identificar estudios publicados en el periodo de 2014-2024. Resultados: Se obtuvieron ocho referencias finales publicadas en seis países de la región. Los hallazgos señalan que las jornadas laborales prolongadas tienen una serie de consecuencias a nivel organizacional y familiar, e incluyen la reducción del tiempo dedicado a la familia y el deterioro de las relaciones interpersonales familiares modulados por el estrés. Conclusión: Debido a la escasez de publicaciones y la diversidad metodológica, se concluye que es importante aumentar el estudio sobre el tema en esta región y avanzar en la homogeneización de la metodología para investigarlo.
