Abstract
Dans cette publication, nous explorons dans quelle mesure la Loi sur la conservation du patrimoine naturel (LCPN), avant et après le processus de réforme de 2021 à l’Assemblée nationale du Québec, offre une réelle prise en compte des conceptions autochtones de la conservation. Lors des consultations particulières relatives à la réforme de cette loi, plusieurs acteurs autochtones ont mis en avant leurs relations au territoire, leurs visions de la conservation, ainsi que les embûches causées par les apories entre ces dernières et les conceptions étatiques. Nous nous pencherons sur les possibilités et les écueils exposés lors de ces interventions, ainsi que ceux découlant du nouveau statut d’aire protégée d’initiative autochtone qui fut ajouté à la LCPN à la suite de cette réforme.
