Cette contribution présente le dispositif de formation initiale des enseignants de l’Université de Sherbrooke. L’analyse de données relatives à l’importance que les étudiants de fin de cycle accordent aux composantes transversales, disciplinaires, didactiques, pratiques et réflexives du dispositif de formation montre que les futurs enseignants continuent à faire preuve d’une représentation de la formation plus pratique que professionnelle et plus disciplinaire que pédagogique, cela malgré les efforts consentis pour construire auprès d’eux un nouveau modèle de professionnalité. Ces résultats mettent en résonance la question de la réception des modèles de professionnalité par les futurs enseignants et celle des tensions entre « savoirs à enseigner » et « savoir pour enseigner ».
