Abstract
La recherche décrit l’évaluation d’un nouveau dispositif d’alternance travail-études à l’attention de travailleurs de l’industrie manufacturière québécoise. La formation professionnelle avait pour but de les aider à progresser au sein de leur entreprise et à occuper un nouveau poste requérant davantage de qualifications. Au moyen de 63 entrevues téléphoniques semi-directives, l’étude a évalué les effets du dispositif sur la qualité de l’emploi de 25 travailleurs formés. Les principaux effets de la formation concernent la rémunération horaire, le niveau de qualification, la stabilité de l’emploi et les conditions psychologiques. Les conditions physiques et les heures de travail ont été peu impactées par la formation
