Trichothecium roseum causes pink fruit rot on Solanum lycopersicum in China
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Tomato diseases are an important factor affecting the yield and quality of tomato worldwide. In July 2024, tomato rot and red mould layers were found in a greenhouse in Yingjiang district, Anqing City, Anhui province, China. First, a water-stained lesion appeared on the fruit pedicle, gradually expanded around the fruit pedicle, and then extended to the whole fruit surface. The lesion was dark brown with dense villous mycelium and gradually became pink. To determine the identity of the pathogen, infected tomato fruits were collected and conidia from the lesions were isolated. Three fungal isolates were isolated from the diseased fruits, which formed pink colonies on potato dextrose agar after culturing. The pathogen was identified based on colony characteristics, morphological features, phylogenetic analyses of ribosome transcriptional spacers (rDNA; ITS) and β-tubulin (TUB) and pathogenicity tests. According to the morphological and molecular characteristics, the pathogen of tomato pink rot disease was determined as Trichothecium roseum. This study is the first to show T. roseum as a causative agent of tomato pink rot in China.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
