Abstract
L’une des particularités de la recherche SPIPRA est de ne pas cautionner la traditionnelle partition entre religion et spiritualité qui parcourt la littérature psychosociale et biomédicale portant sur le sujet. À partir de la perspective sociologique de l’étude du religieux dans les sociétés contemporaines, la présente contribution suggère de dépasser cette classique articulation spiritualité/religion en maintenant la problématique au niveau des religiosités individuelles. Il en découle deux types particuliers de spiritualités qui caractérisent le rapport au monde des patients avec lesquels les soignants interagissent, nécessitant des gestes et prises en charge différentes. Ce déplacement permet en outre d’éviter certains écueils pratiques et éthiques concernant la cristallisation des conceptions de la spiritualité autour de leurs versions subjectivisées.
