O presente resumo expandido teve como objetivo analisar a responsabilidade civil no transporte aéreo, com ênfase na comparação entre a proteção conferida ao transporte de passageiros e ao transporte de cargas. Para isso, foram consideradas as normativas internacionais, especialmente as Convenções de Varsóvia e de Montreal, bem como as disposições do ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, incluindo o Código de Defesa do Consumidor e o Código Brasileiro de Aeronáutica. O estudo buscou compreender as diferenças nos regimes de responsabilização aplicáveis a cada modalidade de transporte, abordando aspectos como a reparação de danos, os limites indenizatórios e as implicações jurídicas decorrentes da aplicação das normas internacionais em conjunto com a legislação nacional. Portanto, a fim de que pudesse melhor ser apreciado o tema, no tocante às questões expostas, a abordagem do presente artigo será efetivada a partir de pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e jurisprudencial, analisando artigos, livros e textos de autores que relatam sobre o tema, a fim de que seja dada notoriedade ao assunto.
