Abstract

Cet article porte sur le concept d’activité dans une perspective dialectique matérialiste. Dans cette perspective, il ne s’agit pas de voir l’activité « de l’apprenant », pas plus que de voir l’apprenant « de l’activité ». J’explore l’idée selon laquelle, pour apprendre, les apprenants produisent une activité en même temps qu’ils sont produits par celle-ci. Il en résulte que ce que les apprenants apprennent est un processus collectif qui se déroule sur la charpente de trois médiations historico-culturelles : la première agit sur l’objet à apprendre, la deuxième sur la manière dont l’objet à apprendre est saisi, la troisième sur la manière dont apprenants et enseignants se coproduisent ensemble dans une coproduction dont la texture porte en elle les tensions de l'histoire et de la culture.
