Abstract
L’évolution de l’économie canadienne suppose un éventail de possibilités et de contraintes, en fonction desquelles les familles doivent s’adapter pour assumer efficacement leurs responsabilités à la maison et au travail. Au sein des familles, cette adaptation suppose bien souvent de parcourir de grandes distances pour le travail, ou de s’absenter durant plusieurs jours, plusieurs semaines, voire plusieurs mois. Depuis 2012, le Partenariat en mouvement1 s’intéresse au phénomène de la mobilité géographique pour le travail (MGPT), et il en ressort que les Canadiens sont plus nombreux que jamais à devoir parcourir régulièrement de grandes distances pour se rendre au travail, et ce, suivant des modèles « complexes et nuancés »2.
