Abstract Aero-engine parts have the characteristics of large volume and complex shape, which require high cleaning efficiency when carrying out high-volume cleaning work. The nozzle is the core component of the ice particles air-jet equipment, its structural parameters affect the spray state of the ice particles air-jet, thus affecting the cleaning efficiency. To enhance cleaning efficiency, we utilized computational fluid dynamics simulation software, Fluent, to analyze the ice particle jet process. This study aimed to investigate how different nozzle structures affect the distribution of ice particles and the impact speed of the jet. The results show that when the Mach number of the flat Laval nozzle is 2, the length of the expansion section is 250mm, the length of the contraction section is 20mm, the throat section length is 10mm, and the effect is optimal.
