O artigo intitulado “Dante Alighieri e a Epístola a Cangrande: um debate de dois séculos” tem como objetivo traçar a complexa história de um problema que, desde o filólogo Scolari até aos mais recentes contributos da inteligência artificial, marcou marcos importantes na consideração da obra de Dante a partir de inúmeras abordagens exegéticas. Poder-se-ia mesmo afirmar que este referente epistolar contém a maior parte das linhas interpretativas suscitadas pela complexa produção de Dante, incluindo a Commedia, e é utilizado como pedra de toque para verificar intuições, realizações e aberturas ainda não resolvidas no vasto panorama disponível até à data.
