Abstract
L’article est né de mes voyages et mes rencontres avec un grand nombre de voyageurs venus en Amazonie, entre 1998 et aujourd’hui, pour boire l’ayahuasca. Il rapporte des désirs d’expérience et les gestes dont ils vibrent. De manière explicite ou lentement amenés dans les conversations, les images-esprits ou êtres gestuels occupent une place centrale dans ces paroles, en lien avec le sentiment intime « que quelque chose manque » ; en lien aussi avec un animisme « inscrit au plus profond de nos corps ». Parce que je ne nous retrouve pas dans la littérature sur le tourisme chamanique, je propose ici une phénoménologie des sensations propres à l’expérience ayahuasca et à cette épaisseur du temps en jeu dans les rituels. Ce faisant, l’article est une manière de montrer que les expériences des voyageurs et les corporéités qui s’y inventent sont des articulations du paradigme chamanique.
