Abstract
O neoliberalismo é uma realidade a qual convivemos há algumas décadas. Suas políticas incidem e atravessam-nos fazendo com que o Estado como garantidor do bem-estar seja ressignificado ou, em alguns contextos, apagado. Neste trabalho, o que fazemos é uma reflexão aprofundada a partir do estudo de Laval (2019) junto ao Grupo de Estudos e Políticas Educacionais, da Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul (UFFS), no campus Erechim (RS), ao longo do ano de 2023. Nossa análise vai em duas direções. Analisar a presença, os efeitos e a concepção de sociedade das políticas neoliberais no Brasil na formação de professores e no currículo escolar. Para tanto, os documentos e regulamentações recentes fruto das “reformas” curriculares são analisados e percebemos: o esvaziamento do sentido coletivo e da participação nesses processos “reformistas”; a fragilização da Educação como direito substantivo; o acentuado papel privatista, mercadológico e individual; o esmaecimento da democracia.
