Abstract
The year 2023 represents both the twentieth anniversary of the adoption of the UNESCO Convention for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity and the thirteenth year of the entry of food cultures on the Representative List that emanates from this cultural convention. Anniversaries are celebratory events but also pivotal moments during which the situation is taken stock. Through space-time itineraries ("wanderings") and conceptual questions ("wonderings"), the article aims to extrapolate the peaks climbed, the still highly critical points and the potential paths of the UNESCO Convention on intangible heritage and food as heritage. More specifically, the article will attempt to do so by covering three temporalities, that is, the origins (past), the issues (present) and the avenues (future) of the two elements examined.
