Abstract
Abstract: Pausanias reports that in 147 b.c., Rome requested the Achaean League to surrender five cities. This paper argues that, from Rome's perspective, these cities were her war prizes, which she had allowed the League to keep as rewards. Rome's demand was, essentially, a revocation of territorial grants. Abstract: Pausanias rapporte qu'en 147 av. j.-c. Rome aurait exigé de la Ligue achéenne qu'elle lui abandonne cinq cités. Cet article soutient que, du point de vue de Rome, ces cités représentaient des trophées de guerre qu'elle avait permis à la Ligue de garder comme récompense. En substance, la requête de Rome révoquait une concession territoriale.
