Abstract
Le foyer est au cœur de la vie de famille. C’est là que les liens familiaux se forgent et évoluent tout au long de l’existence. C’est là aussi que prend racine une large part de nos souvenirs de famille. Les liens qui se tissent entre la famille et son foyer sont tributaires du contexte socioéconomique et culturel en constante évolution dans lequel nous vivons. Les choix de chacun quant à son lieu de résidence sont appelés à changer au fil du temps, c’est-à-dire au gré des attentes et des aspirations que l’on entretient au regard de ce contexte évolutif. Afin de mieux comprendre la nature des liens qui unissent les familles à leur foyer, nous procédons à une mise à jour de notre fiche de renseignements intitulée « Maison et foyer au Canada », à laquelle nous intégrons cette fois de nouvelles données portant sur les finances familiales et le foyer.
