Abstract
Cet article plonge dans les archives des militantes du mouvement féministe et pacifiste canadien la Voix des femmes / Voice of Women. Il documente son intervention dans le jeu des relations internationales durant la décennie 1960. Il examine d’abord son rôle dans la construction de relations diplomatiques informelles visant à réchauffer les relations entre les mondes communiste et capitaliste dans le contexte de la guerre froide. Il montre ensuite comment certains États du Sud investissent ces réseaux pour attirer l’attention des pays occidentaux sur les enjeux de la décolonisation et de l’anti-impérialisme. Ce faisant, cette étude éclaire la manière dont des acteurs marginalisés dans l’arène diplomatique — les femmes, mais également certains États du Sud global — parviennent à se constituer en sujets politiques et à redéfinir les enjeux au coeur de la guerre froide.
