Abstract
We present 10 case presentations of takotsubo cardiomyopathy focusing on the electrocardiographic (ECG) findings. The consistent and diagnostic useful findings included diffuse, often exaggerated t-wave inversions as well as prolongation of the corrected QT interval. The t-wave changes have been associated with takotsubo cardiomyopathy with a specificity of more than 95% in some studies and are most supportive of this diagnosis in the absence of ST-segment elevation and when concomitant correct QT prolongation is also present.
