Abstract
O artigo propõe uma análise simbólica da obra Peter Pan, de James Mathew Barrie, sob a ótica da psicologia analítica de Carl Gustav Jung, com foco nos elementos arquetípicos presentes na narrativa. A partir do conceito de individuação, o texto explora como a fantasia desempenha um papel central no desenvolvimento psicológico da criança, ao proporcionar um espaço para confrontar suas frustrações, anseios e conflitos internos. A Terra do Nunca é apresentada como um cenário onde as leis da realidade são suspensas, permitindo à criança experimentar seus desejos e angústias inconscientes. Wendy, protagonista da história, assume o papel de uma figura em transição, confrontando questões simbólicas sobre a maturidade e o abandono da infância. A análise investiga as dúvidas implícitas no texto, como a resistência à evolução e ao cumprimento de papéis sociais adultos, como o de mãe e dona de casa. O artigo também examina a habilidade de Barrie em criar uma narrativa rica em simbologia, que possibilita ao leitor refletir sobre o significado da fantasia e seu impacto no imaginário infantil. Por meio de uma linguagem criativa e dinâmica, a obra Peter Pan propõe ao leitor um mergulho nas profundezas do inconsciente, em que as imagens arquetípicas e os símbolos permitem uma ressignificação da experiência humana.
