Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of family ownership on financial performance and the value of companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange.The sample consists of 125 active companies in Tehran Stock Exchange during the period from 2011 to 2015, which has been selected by systematic elimination method.Which were a total of 625 years old.In this research, linear regression test was used to investigate the research hypotheses.To analyze the data and test the hypotheses of the research, software Eviews-6 has been used.The results indicate that family ownership has a significant effect on the return on assets of listed companies in Tehran Stock Exchange.Also, family ownership has a significant effect on the value of companies admitted to Tehran Stock Exchange.
