Abstract
माधवप्रसाद घिमिरेको गौरी खण्डकाव्य नपाली साहित्यको अमूल्य निधि हो । यस खण्डकाव्यको आदिदेखि अन्त्यसम्म करुणरस प्रवाहित भएको पाइन्छ । यस कृतिको करुणरसका दृष्टिले अहिलेसम्म अध्ययन नभएकाले त्यही रिक्तता परिपूर्तिका लागि यो अध्ययन गररएको छ । यसरी गौरी खण्डकाव्यमा प्रयोग भएको करुणरसको पहिचान र विश्लेषण गर्नु यस अध्ययनको प्रमुख उद्देश्य हो । यस अध्ययनमा पुस्तकालयबाट सामग्री सङ्कलन गरी पूर्वीय रससिद्धान्तको सैद्धान्तिक मान्तयताका आधारमा गुणात्मक ढाँचा प्रयोग गरी गौरी खण्डकाव्यका करुणरससँग सम्बन्धित विशिष्ट श्लोकको पाठपरक विश्लेषण गररएको छ । करुणरसको स्थायी भाव शोक हो । इष्टजनको वियोग, वैभवको नाश, प्रिय व्यक्तिको वध, प्रियजनसितको वियोग वा मरण देखर वा सुनेर मनमा उत्पन्तन हुने विकलताबाट करुणरस उत्पन्न हुन्छ । गौरी खण्डकाव्यमा पनि घिमिरेले उनकी धर्मपत्नी गौरीको मृत्युपश्चात् घोर निराशाका दिनहरूमा आफ्ना मनोगत भावहरू करुणरसमा प्रस्तुत गरेका छन् । यसरी घिमिरेकी पत्नीको दुःखद निधनले कविहृदयमा उठेका निराशाका ज्वारहरू करणरसमा कसरी प्रस्तुत भएका छन् भन्ने कुराको अध्ययन यस लेखमा गरिएको छ । यसैगरी यस अध्ययनमा करुणरसका रससामग्री विभाव, अनुभाव र व्यभिचारी भावहरूका कारण करुणरस कसरी परिपाक अवस्थामा पुगको छ भन्ने कुराको चर्चा गरिएको छ । यसरी विश्लेषणगर्दा गौरी खण्डकाव्य करुणरस प्रयोगका दृष्टिले उच्च कोटीको छ भन्ने यस अध्ययनको निष्कर्ष रहेको छ ।
