Abstract

The literature shows that the discretization in sampled-data systems can create unstable zero dynamics, making the system vulnerable to cyber-attacks. We study input-to-state stability (ISS) of nonlinear event-based control systems under zero-dynamics attacks (ZDAs). As a secure approach, we propose a novel multi-objective event-triggered mechanism that uses current measurements and a history of zero dynamics for resilient triggering design. We derive sufficient conditions based on ISS and triggering parameters to ensure stability. This solution allows a trade-off between performance and resilience while maintaining overall system stability under attack. Finally, we present a case study to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.
