Huzurevinde Yaşayan Yaşlı Bireylerin Kırılganlık ve Uyku Kalitesi Arasındaki İlişkinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Kocaeli Huzurevi’nde yaşayan yaşlılarda kırılganlık düzeyi ile uyku kalitesi arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmektir. Yöntem ve Gereçler: Bu çalışma kesitsel nitelikte olup Kocaeli Huzurevi’nde kalan yaklaşık 90 yaşlı bireyden 75’i ile 1 Mart 2022- 1 Eylül 2022 tarihleri arasında herkese açık olan oturma salonunda gün içerisinde yaşlıların uygun olduğu zaman diliminde yapıldı. Bulgular: Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 76.60∓8.04, %52’sinin erkek,%50,7’sinin evli, %41,3’ünün ilköğretim mezunudur. Katılımcıların %45,3’ünün kendini çok yaşlı hissettiği, %53,3’ünün şiddetli kırılgan ve kadınların kırılganlık puanının (ort=11.55) erkeklerden (ort=8.53) daha yüksek olduğu (p=0.001), kendini çok yaşlı olarak algılayanların Edmonton Kırılganlık Ölçeği puan ortalamasının (ort=12.38) kendini yaşlı algılayanlardan (ort=8.69) ve orta yaşlı algılayanlardan (ort=6.46) daha yüksek olduğu (p=0.001) görülmüştür. Katılımcıların %100’ünün kötü uyku kalitesine sahiptir. Kronik hastalığı olanların Pittsburg Uyku Kalite İndeksi ortalamasının (ort=13.28), olmayanların ortalamasından (ort=11.5) daha yüksek olduğu (p=0.001), günde ortalama 3-4 saat uyuyanların uyku kalitesi puan ortalamasının (ort=10.70) olduğu, ortalama 4-6 saat uyuyanların ortalama puanının (ort=10.13) olduğu (p=0.004) tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Pittsburg Uyku Kalite İndeksi ile Edmonton Kırılganlık Ölçeği arasındaki ilişkisi incelendiğinde; aralarında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır (p=0.797>0.05).
